Manisha Thakor is on a mission to help women (and men) get real about money. A former portfolio manager, Manisha is now a Financial Fellow at Wellesley College, teaches the well-known online personal finance course, Money Rules…For Women, and has co-authored two critically acclaimed books, On My Own Two Feet and Get Financially Naked. Manisha’s blog, speaking engagements, books, and e-classes trumpet her overall message that financial freedom results in personal freedom. Thakor teaches that earning money, receiving financial education, and becoming financially secure will open the door to living life fully.
Manisha tackles old stereotypes about women and money, and urges women to talk about their finances, educate themselves, and let go of financial fears. After all, financial worth is directly related to a sense of self-worth. Manisha also tackles the difficult topics of investing, saving, budgeting, and talking money with your honey in her blogs for the Huffington Post and ForbesWoman, as well as in her speaking engagements and e-classes. Manisha has been featured in The New York Times, Money, Glamour, Real Simple, NPR, CNN, CNBC, and The Rachel Ray Show.
Manisha earned her MBA from Harvard and her BA from Wellesley, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
