COVID-19 Updates

Bay Path University, like most organizations, is factoring the impact of the coronavirus into our planning and communications. We will communicate any updates on the status of the Women’s Leadership Conference with you via email.

At this time, we are holding the conference on March 27th as planned.  We have been in constant contact with the MassMutual Center to understand their preparations for holding the event. Please see the communication from their General Manager as of this morning:

We will continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations from the CDC, the US Department of State, and the MA Department of Public Health and update our plans and protocols accordingly. The health and safety of our guests and employees remain our top priority.

The MassMutual Center has taken steps to ensure we are prepared for the potential impacts of the coronavirus. We continue to use disinfectants that are designed to prevent further spread of viruses like the one that causes coronavirus. Additionally, we’ve implemented temporary heightened sanitizing protocols and are proactive in our health and safety efforts. Our enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures include:

  • Adding hand sanitizer dispensing stations in high-traffic areas
  • Continuously utilizing the appropriate cleaning products to clean and disinfect all surface areas throughout event hours
  • Utilizing cleaning products that are recommended for cleaning viruses, such as COVID-19, and are safe for our employees to handle
  • Deploying posters created by the CDC throughout the facility, both in back of house area restrooms and in front of house area restrooms to be visible to our customers and visitors

We continue to closely follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health officials. Currently, CDC guidance around prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and the flu is as follows:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick

While attending the conference:

  • It is recommended that instead of Handshakes you bump elbows
  • Do not hug other attendees
  • There will not be any autograph lines, we are working to get bookplates for the purchased books for the speaker to pre-sign.
  • It is recommended you stand near but do not touch others in speaker photo lines

We hope to see you on the 27th!

Please note that updates will go by email to registrants and will be posted on the website.

With thanks,

The WLC Team
