About MaryLynn Ostrowski
MaryLynn (“Lynn”) Ostrowski, Director of Corporate Relations and Brand, oversees a number of functions at Health New England (HNE), including marketing and advertising, communications and web, community and public relations, community benefits and sponsorships, government affairs activities, and the organization’s population health management strategy. She brings a successful track record in managed care, population health management, brand, marketing and advertising, corporate and public relations, and communications to this position. Innovative program development, execution, and measurement; relationship development and management; corporate branding and marketing/communications; and budget/cost control are her strong points. Ms. Ostrowski also serves as the media spokeswoman for HNE and is passionate about optimal health and well-being.
When Ms. Ostrowski joined HNE in 1993 as the Health Programs Administrator, she focused on developing health education and promotion programs for employer groups. She took on added responsibilities within the organization for disease management programs and the Attorney General’s community benefits requirements as well as community relations. She was promoted to Director of Health Programs and Community Relations in 2004, a role that evolved to Director of Corporate Relations and Brand in 2007.
Ms. Ostrowski obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Fitness and a Master of Education degree in Health Promotion/Wellness Management from Springfield College. She received a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Health Behavior from Capella University. She currently coordinates the Elms College B.S. Health Service Administration degree completion program, developing curriculum and serving as an adjunct faculty member. She is also coauthor of the paper “My Mother’s Health Plan: Everything I Need to Know about Good Health I Learned from My Mother.”
