Lead with Compassion

We are very excited to announce the theme for the 2012 Bay Path College Women’s Leadership Conference on Friday, March 23, 2012.

The theme of this 17th annual conference is Lead with Compassion.

We gravitated to this conference theme because we believe there is a yearning for more patient, thoughtful public and personal discourse.  Our political debates seem increasingly contentious.  Differences along socio-economic, ethnic and geographic lines feel more pronounced. Mass media correspondents and their need to fill 24/7 news slots tend to bring combative exchanges from around the world into our daily lives.

Through the speakers we have selected for this conference, we hope for guidance in crafting more careful, thoughtful communication.  We seek ways to bring more civility and kindness to leadership at all levels.  We will be reminded of the healthy need to forgive in order to build amicable relationships and to nurture current relationships; personal and professional.  Finally, we will focus on revisiting the fact that sustainable lasting change is the result of respectful and thoughtful consensus.
