Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear/what may I bring?
Attendees are generally in business or business-casual attire. You will be networking and moving from main ballroom to breakout sessions during the day so wear comfortable and appropriate shoes and clothing. We recommend a small handbag, as you will receive a tote with program materials at registration as an attendee.
I never got an e-mail confirmation; am I registered?
First, please check your spam/junk folders for an email from firstname.lastname@example.org to locate and if you are still unable to locate your registration than E-mail us with the subject line, “Am I Registered?”. Please note that if you used your company email, they may block this email. Please use your personal emails whenever possible.
When will I receive my badge?
At check-in (7:30 am – 8:15 am) the day of the conference, you will receive your badge and conference tote. After 8:15 am please see the Information desk for your badge. Please help us stay green; recycle your name badge, drop them in the red boxes as you exit.
Once you register, you have purchased a non-refundable admission. You may however, find a replacement attendee for your admission. Replacement Names must be submitted via e-mail to email@example.com by March 28, 2014. Please indicate the original person and the correct contact information for the replacing person. After March 28, changes must be made at the information desk the day of the conference.
Seating is on a first come/first served basis except for sponsor-prepaid tables or group-prepaid tables. Those who have assigned tables should consult volunteers in the ballroom (or check at the information desk) to find the location of their tables.
What is included in conference admissions?
Continental breakfast, lunch (a limited number are vegetarian), Keynote and Breakout Speakers, Health & Wellness Center, Career & Networking Center and the Exhibitor Halls in the upper and lower levels and coffee/tea throughout the day compliments of our sponsor, WBMason located at their exhibitor tables on the upper level.
Any requests that need to be made due to special needs must be made in writing and received by April 1, 2014. Please e-mail with subject line, Special Accommodations to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is their a nursing mother’s room?
There are two rooms for nursing mother use. One on the upper level and one on the lower level. Please ask volunteers or staff for the locations on site.
What if I lost something?
During the day of the conference please check at the Information Desk for lost items. After the conference, please contact the MassMutual Center lost and found.
Is this CEU eligible?
Attendees are eligible for 6 Continuing Education Units (CEU) or for 6 qualifying hours through the Board of Registration in Public Accountancy only, for full day attendance at this conference. To obtain credit, please turn in your name badge at the end of the conference to the Information Desk with handwritten – Need CEU Certificate and include your email address/mailing address on the back of the badge.
If you work for MassMutual and need PDU’s – employees who attend the entire day can use the day as PDU’s for their PMP certificate. To obtain credit you must show your badge and program to your certification contact at MassMutual.
What if I am a vegetarian?
We offer both a meat and vegan option for lunch in the ballroom. You will need to indicate your choice when registering for the conference. Please let your server know you selected the vegan option. We also over a vegan option for the exhibitors. Please indicate this on your registration.
Due to the high number of attendees, all meals are served cold.
Fresh herbed turkey breast with a savory tropical fruit salad served cold: Grilled turkey breast encrusted with basil, rosemary and thyme, sliced and served with a side sauce of peach yogurt, tamarind, and mild curry next to a savory tropical fruit salad of pineapple, mango, peach, strawberry, basil and honey.
Lemony spaghetti squash salad served cold: A vegan gluten free friendly salad of spaghetti squash tossed with fresh basil, mint, lemon juice, red bell pepper, petite peas, baby kale, and olive oil, garnished with pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and dried cranberries.
The Vegan entrée is 100% VEGAN, without dairy, beef, casein, whey, etc. The CenterPlate kitchen staff prepares the VEGAN meals in a separate area of the kitchen; taking care to ensure there will be no cross contamination for those concerned with allergies.
Want to save time waiting in line at the book store?
Per-order and purchase your books from Follett, the Bay Path College Bookstore and receive a 15% discount. The books can be picked up prior to the conference at 588 Longmeadow Street or will be waiting for you at conference. The day of the conference books will have a 10% discount.

Where can I park?
We highly recommend you carpool with a friend or friends and split the parking fee!
Springfield Parking Authority garages, which include the Civic Center, Columbus Circle, and I-91 North and South garages are open all day for easy walking access to the MassMutual Center. For more information call the Springfield Parking Authority at (413) 787-6118 or click here for rates.
Street parking is limited and on an hourly basis.
Carpool with as many friends as you can
Arrive early, park in the I-91 garages and walk to MassMutual Center (this may give you a faster get-away at the end of the day)
Where can I stay overnight?
The Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place is offering a special discounted rate of $119.00 (plus tax) to Conference vendors, exhibitors and attendees. Deadline for Reservations is March 6, 2015. Please mention that you are attending the Women’s Leadership Conference when making your reservation.
